New yam festival is a period that is highly
respected in the area.
The people of Ohafia Udumaeze celebrated
2018 NEW YAM FESTIVAL in another grand style some of the
Villages include ELU, AMAEKPU, NKWEBI
& EBEM all in Ohafia Community out of the 26 villages that make
up the community, respectively they did their Igba Ekpe IriJi 2018, as it
attracted top government workers to the area. The sons and daughters of Ohafia
both home and abroad came in mass to witness the occasion.

community member used the event to thank God for making them witness this
year’s new yam festive again.
Youths of
the area was very happy to witness it again as they displayed they traditions happily.
